A Career Built on Saying Yes.
Four decades of production experience, a few unexpected detours, and one unwavering belief — that the best stories are still worth telling.
About Reg Groff
Where It All Started
Building a production company in Maine has never been the easy path. The distance from major media hubs and the region’s economic limitations have always added an extra layer of challenge—especially starting out long before the internet and cell phones reshaped the industry. At times, it might have felt like unnecessary punishment. But success here demands something different: creative agility, resilience, and the determination to push through long winters of slow business and summers packed with impossible workloads.
Truth is—I’ve always loved that challenge.
The Magic of Saying Yes
Throughout my career, I’ve said “yes” to opportunities long before I knew exactly how they’d unfold—and that’s where the magic tends to happen.
I had never produced an infomercial before… until the first one generated millions in revenue for my client and opened the door to hundreds more who wanted that same spark.
I had little animation experience… until I was asked to produce a stop-motion series for Nickelodeon. We said yes, figured it out, and the show went on to earn a Cable Ace Award nomination.
I had never even watched wrestling… until I was asked to produce a TV wrestling series. We built a video truck, hit the road, and delivered hundreds of episodes airing weekly across 50 stations.
A Career Worth Talking About
Over the decades, I’ve built teams, partnered with great people, opened multiple studios, won awards, and invested heavily in the tools of the trade (many of which are now obsolete). It’s been a ride—and I’ve earned the right to say, I’ve been there and done that.
Where I Am Today
Today, I’m channeling that experience into documentary storytelling.
From Voices of Hope, a 10-part, hour long program that explores addiction and recovery, to independent films like Brothers and Peace, Love and Zoo, the focus now is on stories that create real impact—the kind I dreamed of telling when I first picked up a camera as a teenager.
I still produce commercials and promotional content, but what drives me most is finding the next story that matters.
Let's Make Something That Matters
If you have a story to tell, or a project that needs an experienced hand, let’s talk. You never know where it might lead — or who it might inspire.
